Late on friday nights at work i am by myself, this is what gets done when i am alone.
this started as a great plan to create a miniture chess set. to get some scale the 5 cent coin
was included, however being me, the easily distracted i never finished. i got about 6 peices in
and something else cought my attension. end of story

i never got around to the doing whole set, i couldn't get my head around making a knight that small.
i don't know what the opposing side was going, a brief thought was going to be a dark wood varnished.
and yes they were turned out of brass then rodium plated,
thanks for the positive feedback, might be enought to finish the set LOL

thanks for the fav and the link. that guy has way to much patience to be normal LOL but it looks great i couldn't even concieve of doing something that grand, but i will heve to try and finish mine now check it out in a few weeks

that is so cute! and really clever! i'd love to play a game with them.... but i suck majorly at chess and whenever i do play, its an insult to the creators of the game because i'm just so crap-o-riffic....

thats the thing i like chess but am absolutly shit at it, its one of those thing where, you go ooh i want that guitar i bet i could play really well with that! but when you get it home i suck just as much (if not more!), it crosses over to chess i'll be shit on any board but i'll still want to get a new one. so i thought why not just make one?

keep an eye out for when i'm finished, i'm up to 6 peices (only 26 to go) we will have to vie for the guiness wolds longest and least enthralling game of chess. you up for the challenge of a lifetime?

i think you'd have a better chance of having the smallest chessboard in the world... i dont think any chess game that involves me in anyway could possibly ever be enthralling. i never have a strategy and i dont really think about future moves... i just do them because i'm not clever enough to think out a plan of attack. and then i get my ass kicked. chess and i aren't really friends. we never really got along...

There's a trick for making the knights, but I can't remember exactly how it's done. Something like... turning a circular shape whose outline is the outline of the top part of the knight, slicing it into segments like a cake or pie, and adding a few finishing touches.
